Paul Villari, Sr. immigrated from San Filippo, Sicily in the early 1900's as
a teenager. He settled in Palmyra, NJ and served his country proudly in World
War I. He married Natalie Peditto and together they opened Villari's Bakery on
Market Street in Palmyra in the 1920's. For the next two decades Paul, Natalie
and their seven children worked the bakery, delivering fresh bread daily to
homes of the residents in Palmyra, Riverton and Cinnaminson.
In September of 1948, Paul and Natalie opened the Milmarian, which was
named after their three daughters, Mildred, Mary and Ann, and operated by
their four sons, Placido, Paul Jr., Joseph and John.
Paul Sr. and Natalie have passed away, but their memories live on in the
hearts of their family, friends and customers.
Today the Milmarian is owned and operated by Paul Villari, Jr, his wife Helen
and their three sons. Together we continue the proud family tradition of the
Milmarian. The "Mil" has been a favorite meeting place for many since 1948
offering an extensive menu but specializing in Italian cuisine and friendly service.
